Early this year our herding Club, Continental Herding Club Inc., decided to enter the 'Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers' Parade, and build a float to showcase our wonderful herding club.
Photos below show why our float took out FIRST PLACE in the Community Section of the parade.
Congratulations to our club members for the huge effort we put in to attain this award on our first time entry.

'Border Collies Named Smartest Dogs' is the name of the article featured in the Toowoomba Chronicle on 8-9-10 in which myself and Rosie appeared.  We appreciate the opportunity to comment on and publicize the fact that Border Collies are very intelligent and we welcomed the opportunity the print media gave us to speak and photograph this wonderful breed.

Catherine Bull agrees border collies like Rosie are the most intelligent breed.

THERE is no doubt in Catherine Bull's mind that border collies are the smartest dogs.
The breeder might be a bit biased, but agreed with Dr Mark Perissinotto from VetshopAustralia.com.
Mrs Bull, from Withcott, runs Ionaborda Border Collies and said the dogs were smart, hard workers.
“They are still doing what they were bred to do, which is herding,” Mrs Bull said.
“They are also great at agility and obedience.
“However, they need to be kept active.”

11th Sept 2010

Rosie attended her first show at Allora on 11-09-2010.
The day was fun and we all had a great time catching up with friends, who were very helpful with advise for the new kids on the block. Unfortunately we weren't successful on the day but we will both keep learning & trying until we are.
